Jené Elzie’s extensive leadership and operational experience, subject matter expertise across several areas, time working for Fortune 500 and equivalent companies, and board experience have built a strong understanding of corporate issues, including governance, forward-looking media and digital trends, intra-generational management dynamics, public relations crisis management, and brand stewardship. This combination, along with her board certified status, qualifies her to be a valuable contributor to a public board.
Jené Elzie is a strategic business executive with over 25 years of global achievement in the sports and entertainment industries. She built and led the first international marketing operation for the NBA, established in nine offices worldwide, and grew fan engagement by more than 350% during her tenure. At Comcast/NBCUniversal, Jené led Golf Channel business development across Europe. She also achieved double-digit revenue growth while overseeing the international content distribution business. She negotiated numerous top-tier sports broadcast rights contracts at Fox Sports, Tennis Channel, and NBC Sports. In her current role, Jené leads the marketing and consulting verticals for her agency, Athletes First Partners.
Jené is a subject matter expert in several areas, including marketing, content, sales and digital transformation. She has substantial experience in scaling and monetizing global audiences and currently serves on the boards of Varsity Brands, Inc. and Zeta Global.
She received both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Stanford University, where she was also an All American and three-time team captain of the gymnastics team.
