With over 30 years of experience as a gold specialist/analyst, financial expert, independent corporate director, and successful entrepreneur, Ms. Ashby is a true subject matter expert on Board Governance, Finance, and Strategy. She has worked with hundreds of CEOs of public and privately held international companies, as well as large institutional investors, to improve values and capitalize major projects. Her expertise extends to finance, marketing, international business, organizational, diversity, inclusion and strategic planning.
Ms. Ashby has extensive board experience, having served as an independent director for six different corporate boards over the course of 20 years, as well as on numerous non-profit and trade association boards. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Ashby is the founder of Dani's Foundation, a non-profit organization in memory of her daughter, Dani Stell, which has contributed over $1 million for Ewing’s Sarcoma cancer research over 15 years. She is also the founder of Dani's Home (Lushomo Trust) in Livingstone, Zambia, a home for sexually abused girls.
In addition to her work as an entrepreneur and board member, Ms. Ashby is the author of three books and a former ultra-athlete. She holds the distinction of being the first woman in North America to row 24 hours on a Concept 2 rowing machine, covering a total of 211,036 meters in 24 hours.
