Brenda Kaser-Burger

"When I hear reports about women in the technology industry and how so few of them have made it into executive roles, I am proud of Brenda and what she accomplished in her long career at IBM. Brenda DID reach the executive level at IBM and traveled globally, in fact, she was part of IBM's development of using blockchain, along with other roles, for some of their major clients, like retailers. So, when there is a problem with a product, like lettuce tainted with e coli, IBM was able to help the major retailer set up the tracking system using blockchain, which is capable of tracing where the lettuce came from and pinpoint the source so it can be taken off shelves all over the country and ensure that the tainted product is no longer for sale. Brenda was in on that development from the beginning, so she was part of the innovation of blockchain, long before any of us even heard the term.

When I met Brenda, I noticed her attentiveness and urge to know the whole story - she is a person who not only is experienced and intelligent, but also someone who is truly paying attention and then offering input or help if she can add value to a solution for something. She is passionate about using business for a source for good. She believes that the Benefit Corporation (B-Corp) is a great way to insure that profit is equal to people, planet and other mission impact approaches, and has spent much of her career working with that sector.

Brenda is looking for a board to join where she can bring her skills and network to add to the company success, mission and profit. Brenda Kaser-Burger’s C-suite and corporate experience as a global executive qualify her to serve on a mid to large cap public or private board, including executive and finance committees. She also could leverage her strategy & technical background to lead a strategic planning or program committee."

"My experience of the ACE Women on Board training was that even though I have prior experience with Boards from a C-suite and executive point of view, I found the training allowed me to really get clear on my value proposition so I could better articulate what I can bring to each situation. My confidence level has increased, and I now can more succinctly tell my story and believe I will effective in the Board room."
