Uma Gopaldass

Uma’s three decades of extensive global operational and leadership experience in the Resources, Manufacturing, Construction, and Technology industries, including sitting on investor governance councils and advisory boards, uniquely qualifies her to serve on public boards in risk, executive, and governance committees.


Uma is an experienced and board-certified independent director with 30+ years of global experience focused on Corporate Risk Governance, Capital Growth Investments, Revenue Strategy, and Nomination and Compensation Planning. She actively serves on boards including as Chair of Committees, in a spectrum of engineering and consulting spaces, specifically in energy, and natural resources sectors. In her professional capacity, Uma has led multiple capital growth developments including M&As, restructuring and global asset expansions that has generated several billions in revenue for Fortune 500 corporations including Schlumberger, Accenture, and Newmont Mining.

Uma serves on the boards of VECKTA Energy, Cascade Energy, and TEDx MileHigh's Corporate Leadership Board. Through her firm Leading Lotus, she empowers executives to navigate business challenges like securing financing, targeting strategic markets, and fostering investor confidence.

Uma is frequent speaker for global workforce forums, podcasts and interviews to share her thoughts on talent leadership. She graduated from the National University of Singapore, and mentors for undergraduate programs in Colorado. She was awarded “Woman of the Year” by the National Association of Professional Women for her excellence, commitment, and leadership.

Uma is certified Corporate Directors International LLC, USA. Her designation, CDI.D, recognizes her as a qualified corporate board candidate for a public or private board.
