Lana E. Eagle is an ACE LLC Certified Board Candidate who focuses on building relationships between industry and indigenous communities, always seeking and finding a way to move forward by building respect and transparency.

Along with being the owner and senior advisor for Lana Eagle Consulting, Lana's extensive experience on being indigenous gives her knowledge and understanding on how best to move forward on projects to create opportunities for prosperity for both companies and communities. Her current work with boards include, the Association of Mineral Exploration (AME), Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) Council Member & Executive Member, and the Central City Foundation (CCF)—Director (Non-Profit).

Participating in the ACE Board Training for Women has helped Lana build her knowledge of how boards work on a deeper level. She says, "The ACE Board Training Program has helped me understand how things move... I have been let down by boards because I was talking to the wrong person. It is not an easy thing but the ACE Training helped me channel my skills and how to make a Board Chair interested in me and the work I do."

"Earlier in seeking board placement, I would have liked to be reminded how I am able to market myself fully and totally. Now I know what to do and how to do it. After getting over being shy, I began believing in who I am and how I am different and valuable to boards.”
