Maria Constantinescu

Maria Constantinescu’s international background and extensive experience as a lawyer, dispute resolution consultant, and trusted advisor for corporate senior executives, combined with her comprehensive skill set focused on driving organizational success, uniquely position her to provide a strategic approach and qualify her for service on a public board, including contributions to audit, risk assessment, NOM/GOV, or social committee roles.


Maria is a highly accomplished international lawyer with over three decades of expertise in employment, immigration, and ESG. Currently, she serves as an investigator and adjudicator for the Ministry of Labour, negotiating compensation recovery, and successfully resolving over one hundred employment complaints annually. As the founder and principal of New Prospects Dispute Resolution, Maria assists corporate senior executives to create safe and respectful workplaces, resolve employment issues, including discriminatory actions, occupational health, safety concerns, and compliance with standards and ESG practices.

Maria founded and chaired a Diversity and Inclusion Committee for immigrants employed by the Ministry of Attorney General in Victoria, British Columbia, and led efforts to promote diversity employment recruitment objectives. Within the same organization, she participated as a board member in a compensation committee responsible for staffing financial positions and oversaw senior-level talent development, leadership initiatives, and succession planning.

Maria’s diplomatic service at the U.S. Embassy in Romania, earned her a letter of commendation from President George W. Bush for her exceptional contributions. She successfully managed complex global affairs and million-dollar budgets for the Romanian embassies in New York City and Los Angeles.

Maria holds a Master’s in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University in Canada, and a LL.B in Civil Law from Nicolae Titulescu University in Romania. Her extensive international background in legal, regulatory, and sustainability, coupled with her proven government appointments, leadership, and innovation, make her well-suited for corporate board roles in audit, risk assessment, NOM/GOV, or social committees.
