ACE LLC Announces the board appointment of Flossie O'Leary, CDI.D, to the private corporation, CHILACA Ltd., Dublin, Ireland
Private company, CHILACA Ltd is a Mexican style grill that will serve fresh, fast and affordable burritos and bowls. While the Dublin, Ireland company is new, it’s not a startup. The founder created a successful fast casual business in 2011, grew it to 5 stores and €4.3M in revenue, and sold it in 2017. The fast-casual market in Ireland has been growing 3x faster than other restaurant categories, and even during the pandemic the first company the founder built had continued to thrive. CHILACA is a new iteration that simplifies the model to make it more replicable, more profitable, and more scalable.
Flossie O’Leary joined the board of this private company in late 2020. As an Independent Director, O’Leary brings expertise in business development, board governance and strategic partnerships. Within two months of joining, she had met with each board member, developed messaging and content for a pitch deck, tested the deck and used feedback to iterate, and energized the board and founder to start visiting prospective investors. Since then, €350,000 in seed funding has been secured. When stores open, O’Leary will advise on customer engagement and strategic partnerships supply chain stakeholders to increase sales, access to traceable ingredients, and improve economies of scale as the business expands. CHILACA is on track to open its first store in Dublin in the summer of 2021.
