Jessica Van Den Akker is an ACE LLC Certified Board Candidate who is the Audit Committee Chair for Kenorland Minerals. She has also served as CFO for over seven public companies and is a financial expert with 15 years' experience. Her industry focus is in mining, oil and gas, energy, and Blockchain. Jessica also was the founding CFO for leading a new cryptocurrency technology company and raised over $200 million in the first four months of listing. She also led companies through mergers and acquisition transitions and established guidelines, policies and best practices for regulatory markets, operations and financial reporting.

What was unique about the program for Jessica was the specialized coaching aspect of the program. "Having Michele push you is what drew me to the program," Jessica recalls, "I learned how to be more aware of how to present yourself."

Jessica likes to travel, participate in book clubs, and enjoy a glass of wine with friends in her spare time.

"The ACE board training helped me to see my value-add to a board and helped me to seek out board seats. Within a few months I landed two board seats on public boards. The pay-off for me was substantial as far as getting on boards. The coaching aspect of the program drew me in... I learned how to market myself. It is not all about ones technical skills, but also involves soft skills in being aware of how you present yourself to boards.”
