Helen Hayes’s extensive knowledge in all facets of Capital Markets including Capital Raising (both IPOs & Direct Listings), Institutional Investor Marketing, Investor Relations, Strategic Partnerships and Pension Governance gives her a unique and well-rounded perspective that will add value to any private or public board.


Helen is currently Managing Director & Head of iShares Canada at BlackRock where she is responsible for leading the iShares business across Canadian Institutional, Wealth and Direct segments and the strategic Alliance with RBC. She is a member of the iShares Americas Executive Committee, the BlackRock Canada Board of Directors and Chairs the RBC Alliance Steering Committee.

Previously Helen was the Managing Director & Head of International Equity Sales & Trading at CIBC where she was responsible for all non-Canadian Equity Distribution. Proven track record of Global Institutional Investor mandates with over 1000 public companies marketed in Canada, UK, Europe and Asia. Ms. Hayes has 7 years of board/trustee experience on industry related non-profits including 3 years of experience on CIBC’s Pension Governance Committee. As a member of the Advisory Committee of 100 Women in Finance Toronto and the Individual Major Giving Cabinet of the United Way of Greater Toronto, she has successfully contributed to the MIG team raising more than $50 million dollars for local community charities in Canada.
