Diana Sollner

Diana Sollner is an ACE LLC Certified Board Candidate who holds a unique combination of experience in engineering, environmental issues involving mine closure, and business procedures in International settings. She leads her own business in consulting while also serving on the Technical Advisory Committee for Mining and Metals to the Board of Directors of GeoScience BC.

Located in Vancouver, BC, Ms. Sollner is an innovative problem solver, importing technologies and processes from other industries where appropriate to meet broader objectives. Her roles have ranged from Supervisor to President and she has led various community organizations for over 20 years.

Through Diana's involvement with the ACE Board Training for Women program, she developed a clear and concise elevator pitch, and focused on why she would be very qualified for board placement. By developing an answer to why she would be an ideal board candidate for various public and private boards, Diana has been able to have the opportunity to change the culture of male-dominated boards.

She enjoys sailing, listening to jazz, and exploring new places outside of her board work.

"Before entering the ACE Board Training for Women, I was interested in putting together a strategic plan for myself to get on boards. Through the ACE Training, I learned to tell myself, 'Yes I am qualified to be on a board.'”
