Ana Carolina Silva’s extensive leadership in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Sustainability in the mining industry combined with her unique and well-rounded perspective on risk management, indigenous relations and conflict resolution qualify her to serve on a public and private board, including risk, governance, and audit committees.


Ana Carolina Silva is a global environmental, social and governance (ESG) leader with 20 years of solid professional experience guiding the development and implementation of business strategy for over 60 exploration and mining projects in multiple jurisdictions including more than 30 countries in Africa, Australia, North America, and South America.

Ana Carolina has led multicultural teams in the world’s largest mining companies, managing issues of land access, indigenous people, resettlement, community development and human rights. She is a social innovator with a proven track record on the successful implementation of best practices and international standards, achieving and exceeding desired ESG outcomes in a variety of complex operating environments. During the pandemic, Ana Carolina provided strategic advice for a variety of projects, allowing continued business growth with minimal disruptions.

Ana Carolina Silva is trilingual English, Portuguese and Spanish and her qualifications include Law and Business degrees as well as a PhD in Mining Engineering.

Ana Carolina has her board certification from Corporate Directors International LLC, USA. Her designation, CDI.D, recognizes her as a qualified corporate board candidate for a public or private board.
