Kathy Kranz, CFO, has extensive insurance leadership and senior executive experience and financial perspective, which qualify her to serve on a corporate board, including audit and risk committees as well as compensation and governance.
Kathy Kranz is a C-suite executive, CFO, and award-winning accounting, finance, and operations expert with over 25 years experience in the insurance industry. She has fifteen years experience working closely with boards as a primary management liaison to the Pinnacol Risk & Audit Committee and multiple captive insurance company boards. Kathy has nine years experience on nonprofit boards as Treasurer, Secretary and member of Executive, IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Accessibility), Finance, and Policy Governance Committees.
Kathy identified the need for and led the turnaround design at Pinnacol after operating losses in excess of $50 million post-Great Recession. She designed and implemented a construction defect risk solution at MDC Holdings that has successfully consolidated subcontractor risk and saved legal, coordination, and working capital costs for more than 15 years. Kathy raised $100M in debt/ equity hybrid securities. She earned and maintained investment grade/excellent third-party ratings at S&P and A.M. Best (www. ambest.com) for Pinnacol.
Kathy has her board certification from Corporate Directors International LLC, USA. Her designation, CDI.D, recognizes her as a qualified corporate board candidate for a public or private board.
